New Hsa Changes William Scholz 2005-12-22   Recent Health Insurance news   Here are the new Health Savings Account (HAS) changes from the U.S. Treasury Department for 2006.      2006 U.S. Treasury Guidelines Related to Health Savings Accounts   Deductible Changes: The minimum deductible requirement for qualified high-deductible health plans has increased to $1,050 for individuals, and $2,100 for families. Annual Contribution Changes: The annual contribution maximum has increased to $2,700 for individuals and $5,450 for families. Catch up contributions for individuals age 55 or older increased from $600 in 2005 to $700 for 2006.
